Here at Bear, we believe in transparency which is why we are proud to say that Bear's mattresses are coming directly from our Arizona Dream Factory. Rest assured the mattress you are ordering was designed and assembled at home.
Where and How are Bear Mattresses Made?
All of our mattresses - Elite Hybrid, Star Hybrid, Pro Hybrid, Bear Original, and Bear Cub are factory direct, assembled in America.
With our Arizona Dream Factory, we are able to build your mattress from scratch and ensure every mattress is shipped out with the customer in mind. Your mattress will not be left on a dusty floor somewhere waiting for you to buy it.
With our factory being in Arizona, this ensures faster delivery and reduces our carbon footprint as your mattress is being shipped from within the country. The whole process is managed from our headquarters in New York City.
We maintain the healthiest working conditions possible at our factories and facilities by keeping them free from hazards, closely monitoring emissions in order to prevent pollution, and recycling what we can.
So, Where Does Bear Ship?
Bear Mattress offers free shipping to the 48 contiguous states, while shipping to Alaska and Hawaii includes a charge. Our mattresses, like the rest of our products, ship via Fedex. Once you receive your mattress, we recommend it’s taken out of the box within the first 30 days.
Are Bear Mattresses Eco-Friendly?
We’re focused on making quality products in top-notch conditions that not only help you get a good night's sleep but also keep your sleep space free from hazardous emissions.
All of our mattresses are GREENGUARD Gold Certified and have been rigorously tested by third parties for low emissions levels to meet the health-based criteria set by schools and healthcare facilities.
We also only use CertiPUR-US certified foams that are free from:
- Low emission (low VOCS) for indoor air quality
- Made without prohibited phthalates
- Made without ozone depleters
- Made without PBDEs
- Made without Mercury, Lead, and heavy metals
- Made without formaldehyde
Along with being Greenguard Gold and CertiPUR-US, all Bear mattresses are fiberglass free. For those unfamiliar, Fiberglass is a tiny composite material made by reinforcing plastic with glass fibers and synthetic chemicals. This has been known to cause inflammatory responses if one comes in contact with it.
To keep our customers safe, we use a fire barrier called WhisperShield™, an environmentally friendly, inherently flame-proof rayon. WhisperShield™ is also chemical-free and provides a safe, effective flame retardant layer around our mattresses, without the negative aspects of fiberglass and any associated health risks.
