The Differences Between Bear's Mattress Protectors

Posted by Erika Lang on

With the chaos that life brings, accidents will happen. When it comes to your mattress, we can help make sure accidents don’t lead to disaster. Getting a mattress protector is one of the most important decisions you can make to ensure your mattress goes the distance it should. At Bear, we offer multiple options for mattress protectors. In this article we’ll walk through each protector and give you the information you need to know which is the right choice for you.

GlacioTex Mattress Protector - Advanced Cooling Protection

GlacioTex Mattress Protector

Our GlacioTex Mattress Protector is going to tick all the boxes when it comes to our mattress protectors. It is our highest quality protector. This protector is made with optimal cooling features. If you sleep hot, the GlacioTex material will be a great option to keep you cool and happy all night. It also offers our most extensive protection against accidents. Fully waterproof, this protector will keep your mattress safe from any spills or blemishes. It is also made with hypoallergenic material to keep you from sniffling at night.

TLDR: If you’re looking for the highest protection and are a person who sleeps hot, this option is the right choice for you.

Bear Protector - Highly Breathable Protection

Bear Protector

Our Bear Protector is another great option when it comes to mattress protectors. Built with HeiQ technology, this protector will do a fantastic job at keeping your mattress clean and free of stains. Fully waterproof, this protector takes it a step further and will also keep your mattress free of dust mites, bacteria, and allergens. Though it is built with a breathable material to ensure you don’t get too hot at night, this protector is not made with the same material as the GlacioTex Mattress Protector.

TLDR: You want a mattress protector to keep your mattress free of any stains, but aren’t worried about sleeping hot.

Terry Protector - Signature Spill Barrier

Terry Mattress Protector

Our Terry Protector is built with a waterproof barrier that will keep your mattress free of water damage. It also has all the necessary fabrics to ensure no stains seep through. However, this protector does not protect your mattress from dust mites, bacteria, or allergens in the same way our GlacioTex Mattress Protector or our Bear Protector will. This protector is made with a soft Terry material to ensure your comfortable sleeping on top of it. Coming in at our lowest price point, this protector is a great option for those looking to spend a little less.

TLDR: You want protection from stains and spills and are price conscious.

Bear Encasement - 360° Waterproof and Bug Proof

The Bear Encasement is going to be the option for you if you have a concern about bed bugs. This encasement will go completely around your mattress to give you comprehensive protection from any liquid spills. The encasement is also our only form of protector that is built to protect your mattress from bed bugs. Other protectors will protect your mattress from dust-mites, but if you want to take it a step further and protect against bed bugs, this is your best bet. One aspect to consider about this protector, because it goes fully around your mattress, it is less breathable than some of the other options available.

TLDR: You prioritize protection from bed bugs.

At Bear, we understand buying a mattress is a big undertaking and we want to do what we can to ensure your mattress is protected when it needs to be. Whether you're protecting your mattress from your coffee, your kids, or your pets; we have an option for you. If you have any more questions about which protector is right for you, always feel free to reach out to our friendly customer support team here.
