Over the years of training and competing, I've learned that my recovery is the most important key to my success. Without good sleep, you will never wake up a better person than you were yesterday. My goal is to consistently better my performance in the ocean and in the gym every day.
Billy Kemper was born and raised in Hawaii, hailing from the island of Maui. He is known for a progressive training regiment and outstanding surfing performance, leading the next generation of international watermen.
With countless awards and nominations, Kemper is cemented as the world's leading Big Wave Competitor. In 2016 and again in 2017 he has claimed WSL Peahi Challenge Victory, including the prestigious Billabong XXL Ride of the Year Award.
He currently resides on the infamous North Shore of Oahu with his wife Tahiti and 4 children.
